In-home mobility coaching and assisted stretching session
Movement Consulting with Maurice

Stretching that strengthens as it lengthens.

Maurice builds a custom in-home mobility program for you and the athletes in your home — using Aaron Mattes Active Isolated Stretching, the same method that delivers a 30° range-of-motion gain in just 8 reps on average.

Why Movement Consulting

Stretching shouldn't stop when the session ends.

I always send clients home with work to do — because the gains you make on the table only hold if you keep moving well between visits. Movement Consulting takes that further: I come to your home, assess how you and your athletes actually move, and build a mobility program you can run on your own, in your own space, for the long haul.

Having spent two years working with Team USA athletes, I understand the ultimate tensile strength a sport can demand of the body. This isn't passive stretching — it's an active system that builds strength and control through the full range you're opening up.

The Method

Aaron Mattes Active Isolated Stretching.

I've practiced Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) since 2004. Most stretching is passive — you push into a position and hold. But holding works against your own physiology. AIS works with it.

Active, not passive

You stay active during every stretch, which triggers reciprocal inhibition — the opposing muscle relaxes so the target muscle can lengthen further. You strengthen and gain motor control at the same time you lengthen. Motor control is the piece most stretching overlooks.

Respecting the myotatic reflex

Hold a stretch longer than about two seconds and the myotatic (stretch) reflex kicks in and starts resisting you — fighting the very thing you're trying to achieve. AIS never holds past two seconds, so your body never puts up the brakes.

A rhythmic cadence

Instead of forcing and holding, we move through a rhythmic stretching cadence that respects your autonomic responses — while I coach your breathing to keep the nervous system calm and cooperative.

Measurable results

The outcome speaks for itself: a 30° improvement in range of motion in just 8 reps, on average. Gains you can feel in the same session — and keep, with a program built to maintain them.

How It Works

A program built in your home, for your home.

01

In-Home Assessment

I come to you and assess mobility, movement patterns, and problem areas for each person who wants to be evaluated — on your floor, in your space, using how you actually live and train.

02

Custom Mobility Program

Each person gets a personalized program of stretches and mobility work matched to their body, goals, and sport — something clear enough to follow without me in the room.

03

Equipment Recommendations

I give you a specific equipment list so the program actually works. You purchase it directly and own it for good — no rentals, no markups from me.

Investment

Simple, flat-rate pricing.

One professional fee for the assessment and your custom program. Equipment is purchased separately so you own it and pay no markup.

Movement Consulting

$1,600

Flat professional fee · base household

  • In-home movement & mobility assessment
  • Custom mobility program for each person assessed
  • Personalized equipment recommendation list
  • Program designed for you to run at home, long-term

Larger households and multiple athletes are welcome — because the scope grows with the number of people assessed, homes beyond the base receive a custom quote after a quick conversation.

Equipment

Purchased separately — and yours to keep

Your program only works with the right tools. After your assessment, you'll get a specific list (things like resistance bands, a mobility ball, a foam roller, and any sport-specific pieces). You buy it directly, so there's no markup and you own everything.

Typical budget: most people spend roughly $150–$400 per person, depending on the program. I can send direct purchase links to make it effortless.

Keeping equipment separate keeps your professional fee clean and lets you shop at your own pace — no inventory, no rentals, no surprises.
